Brismetal.com Records Compilation Release

BMcR are currently seeking interest from local bands to be a part of our limited release Brismetal Compilation.
This is a fantastic way to get your band heard and earn some new fans. The idea behind the compilation is to get original Brisbane metal bands spinning on stereos Australia-wide and internationally.

We Require:

- Commitment and dedication - no time wasters.
- Your track for submission by 1st June, 'o8.
- You/your band to be contactable for promo pics/booklet write-up.
- Exclusive rights to your previously unreleased track. This is negotiable - contact us.

We Will Provide:

- A space on our Brismetal Compilation for your previously unreleased track, quality mastered and presented admist 11 other original local metal bands.
- Your bands' contact details, pic and brief bio in our quality Brismetal Compilation CD booklet.
- Circulation through local stalls and online distribution, available for local and international sale.
- Representation of your band via Brismetal.com and Brismetal.com Records sites, myspaces, email and assorted marketing.
- A percentage of stock for your band to keep/sell/giveaway.

BMcR have already secured interest and commitment from several local bands, so if you'd like to be a part of the compilation, contact us ASAP.

Today is the GRAND OPENING of our online store! Check it out for CD's, Shirts, Stickers and other merchandise from your local Brisbane metal bands.

Bunny of BMcR will be joining DJ Hoops on the 4ZzZ 102.1fm air-waves this coming Monday 14th April from 10-Midnight for some brutal tunes on Hell Metal. You can expect a range of local and international classics ranging from acts such as Alchemist right through to Winterfallen, with many in between. With Bunny's taste in tunes resting on black, thrash and folk metal - you can expect a range of fruity through to grim. Our launch gig is now featuring the worthy addition of the mightiest flesh-piercing super-glue-ing soup-can-face-smashing of all freak sideshows - DAMAGED GOODS!

Damaged Goods will be performing acts throughout the night so be prepared - between face-crushing metal, you'll be witnessing cranium-smashing freaks.

The guys/gals of the freakshow will also be drawing prize winners for local merch packs featuring cds, t-shirts, stickers and more from a range of Brisso bands including Acid Theory, Western Decay, Omit, Torn Asunder, 'Neath, Killosophy plus many more. All this, plus HAPPY CAMPER, VIOLENT GREEN, PHALANX, DEAD LETTER OPENER, EMPYREAN and DEFAMER... equals a night not to be missed.

Bands interested in stocking the e-store:

Just a quick note to let you know BMcR will be manning a merch pick-up point at Phoenix on Saturday, the 23rd February ('Neath/Defamer/Phalanx/BFTA/Vyrion show). If you're interested in stocking the e-store, you can save on time and postage by dropping your merch off to us at the stall next to the long bar, in the band room. We'll store it with our other BmcR wares, email you out a received/consignment slip, and you'll see it listed on our e-store within a fortnight or so.

If you're not attending the gig, but want to drop something off on the night, contact us and we'll sort something out.


In other news, Brismetal.com Records is proud to announce we will regularly have THE FALLOUT MAGAZINE in stock on our online store. The Fallout will return again in March 2008 with its long-awaited sixth edition. This edition contains more bands than previous issues over a much wider spread of different styles - ranging from the dark ages of extreme metal with TOM G WARRIOR to the fiery metal of ICED EARTH, to pirate metallers SCUURVY and the epic doom metal of PENTAGRAM.... and a whole lot more. Edition Six will be available through our online store for only four dollars. Available March 2008.

Brismetal.com is pleased to announce the launch of it's very own record label: Brismetal.com Records. Run by locals and for locals; the label is dedicated to the recognition, promotion and general uprising of all talented, hard-working and sorely under-recognized metal bands based in our fine corner of South East Queensland.

Ignoring the division of sub-genres and the like, Brismetal.com Records strives to promote one goal, solidarity within our diverse metal scene. We believe that encouraging harmony and unity between Brisbane based bands, fans and all supporters alike, cannot fail but to solidify our foothold on this country as a prime bearer of unique, talented and interesting heavy metal to the rest of Australia, and the rest of the Globe.

With a burgeoning metal scene on their doorstep, it became obvious to those All-Seeing Overlords of Brismetal.com that something was missing from the scene. Something that could help bands to realize their potential; something to encourage recognition of the metal mecca here in BrisVegas. Brains were stormed, ideas thrown back and forth, and a trio of passionate locals were recruited - the extent of their obsession and knowledge of all things local and heavy bordering almost on psychotic. Missions were forged; backbones laid and Global Domination was planned.

And so, Brismetal.com Records was born.

We can't think of a better way to introduce you to our style, and to show the Globe what we have on offer, than a fundraising/launch gig showcasing the absolute zenith of Brisbane's best bands. Running the gamut from thrash to death, progressive to melodic, this night will awaken a new appreciation and understanding of what we, as a city, should be proud to call our own.

And so, on April 5th, 2008, we offer upon your ears a concentrated dose of local, original and just damn talented heavy metal acts. Six bands, all up-and-coming, all representing a perfect cross-section of Brisbane's metal maestros. If that wasn't enough, assorted prize-packs featuring local merchandise such as tee-shirts, stickers and cd's, music vouchers and all kinds of drinks specials will feature on the night.

With all proceeds from the show being utilized towards the conception and creation of a compilation disc to show-off our capitals' finest, you can be sure your support towards this gig's success is going to the right place, straight back into the growth of our metal scene.

You are an integral element of Brismetal.com Records, a label dedicated 'til death to stay true to our local metal scene.

We appreciate your communication, we value your input and we absolutely treasure your support. We want to know what bands you'd like to hear; what bands you love to see and what bands blow your socks right off.
